Two state-owned lenders – Bank Mandiri and Bank BNI – will build temporary houses for 400 families who were displaced by the strong earthquake that recently hit Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province.

Assistant II to the Regional Secretary of the Sigi Regency Government, Iskandar Nontji, informed that temporary houses for 100 families will be built by Bank Mandiri in the South Sibayala area, Dolo District. Nine traditional Balinese dances have been recognized as part of the world's intangible cultural heritage following a UNESCO session in Namibia on Wednesday.

The Balinese dances included in the list are the Barong Ket dance, Joged Bumbung, Legong Keraton, Mask Sidhakarya, Baris Ceremony, Sanghyang Dedari and Rejang dances, as well as the Wayang Wong and Gambuh dance dramas.

Yogyakarta (JP) - National airline Garuda Indonesia has temporarily diverted its flights from j Airport in Yogyakarta to Adisumarmo Airport in Surakarta, Central Java, after one of its planes overshot the Adisucipto runway on Wednesday evening.

"All Garuda Indonesia flights to Yogyakarta, a total of 34 flights, will now be [diverted] to Surakarta," said Garuda Indonesia VP Corporate Communication Benny S. Butarbutar in an official statement, Thursday.

These flights include 10 flights from and to Jakarta, three flights from and to Denpasar, Bali, two flights from and to Makassar, South Sulawesi, and one flight from Surabaya, East Java.

(Reuters Health) – Half of all heart patients make at least one medication-related error after leaving the hospital, and guidance from pharmacists does not appear to reduce those errors, in a new study.

The consequences of mistakes – such as forgetting to take certain medications or taking the wrong dose – can range from side effects such as constipation to more serious drops in blood pressure. Two percent of errors are life-threatening.

The hospitals involved in the study had taken steps to prevent medication errors in addition to additional pharmacist intervention, said Dr. Sunil Kripalani, lead author of the study, is from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

“We were surprised to see that despite these efforts, 50 percent (of patients) still experienced medication errors,” he told Reuters Health.

While pharmacist visits don't help the average patient, he added, there are certain patients who seem to benefit – such as those who take multiple medications or have difficulty understanding health information.

As for patients who are typically lower risk, he said other strategies to prevent errors may be needed.

Geneva (AP): Indonesia has recorded another case of the H5N1 type of bird flu in humans, bringing the total number of cases in the world to 117, according to the World Health Organization.
